Problem

Cass & York operated in the boutique dining space where atmosphere is the product. Their existing digital presence was flat — it communicated neither the quality of the food nor the feel of the space. A website visitor should feel the weight of the room before they walk in.

Approach

Dark backgrounds, warm typography, and deliberate negative space. The landing page opened with a statement: 'Best Boutique Dinner' — bold, confident, designed to be believed. Layout followed hospitality UX conventions: mood-setting hero, clear navigation, reservation CTA within reach at all times.

System

A full desktop web design delivered as a Figma layout with defined components, hover states, and responsive behavior notes. Dark near-black backgrounds with warm cream type, hero photography integration placeholders, and a color system that aged well across sections.

Outcome

The design language was carried through all guest-facing digital materials. The client used the mockup directly in their pitch to investors as proof of brand positioning.
